Adobe Developer Connection site closing...

I got an email today from the Adobe Developer Connection site... This is what I got when I logged in:

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Please note that as of November 10, 2008 the Adobe Developer Connection introNetworks application will no longer be available. Be sure to copy any important content or contacts you want to save prior to that date. If you have any questions or concerns email Edward Sullivan at esulliva@adobe.com. Regards Ed Sullivan Adobe Developer Connection

I am interested to know if they will have some new site for Adobe Developers to connect on or if this just signals the end of a failed Beta experiment...

The concept of having a site specifically for Adobe developers is appealing, but I wonder if that need is already being met by sites like LinkedIn. There are groups on there for Flash, Flex, Photoshop, etc...

Edward Sullivan's Gravatar Hello.

I am the Edward Sullivan from the message that you posted.

We do indeed have something exciting and new in the works, so stay tuned for additional information on a new resource we are working on for developers to connect and share resources and information.

Thank you

Ted Patrick's Gravatar We are deprecating ADC IntroNetworks in migration to Adobe Groups (http://groups.adobe.com). The email sent this morning was inappropriate and was a bad user experience.

We have since changed the user experience and are redirecting users from adc.intronetworks.com to the beta of Adobe Groups (http://groups.adobe.com).

Regards,

Ted Patrick

Billigflug's Gravatar Special thanks to Ed and Ted for commenting here and put some light into the dark. I was flabbergasted a little, especially because of the very short span to save the personal datas.
