One of the sites that I am the Senior Flash Developer for won a Webby Award today for Rich Media Advertising: B2B. The award is for Snapshots, a video site developed for Avaya. I developed the flash portions of the site, but was a member of a larger team made up of ID, Design, Producers, and QA.

"The "Snapshots" site is a collection of web videos aimed at generating interest for Avaya's latest products and services. As the corporate communications category is typically pretty dry, and its products fairly complex, the goal of Snapshots is to promote Avaya's offerings in a way that's fresh and fun, but also clear and digestible. While the success of a Snapshot is certainly measured by its ability to inform and entertain, it's also measured by its ability to drive viewers toward deeper content, such as a detailed product description or case study that features the product in action. And to give this content greater contextual relevance, it first becomes visible while the correlating feature is being demonstrated in the video. Ultimately this site is meant to open viewers' eyes as to why they should care about these products, and give them the ability to pull out the full range of benefits in real time. "
