I was just over on Amazon and it looks like they have the 61" LED DLP television for almost $700 off the list price, plus you get free shipping. This makes the price $1,950. That price alone without the free shipping is tempting me to buy a new DLP set. Currently I have a 62" DLP and I couldn't be happier with the set. The only thing I don't like is having to buy bulbs with my current DLP. With this new LED set that problem is solved. Also solved would be the spinning noise that you can hear coming from the color wheel because this set doesn't have that color wheel anymore.

Jericho has been saved by the fans...

After more than 50,000 pounds of peanuts, countless emails, phone calls, faxes, and snail mail messages Jericho has been officially brought back from the grave. Countless individuals doubted the effort and said that it was near impossible to bring a show back from being canceled. It has happened before now and it has happened again with Jericho.

Here was the official statment from CBS:

"Wow!

Over the past few weeks you have put forth an impressive and probably unprecedented display of passion in support of a prime time television series. You got our attention; your emails and collective voice have been heard.

As a result, CBS has ordered seven episodes of "Jericho" for mid-season next year. In success, there is the potential for more. But, for there to be more "Jericho," we will need more viewers.

A loyal and passionate community has clearly formed around the show. But that community needs to grow. It needs to grow on the CBS Television Network, as well as on the many digital platforms where we make the show available.

We will count on you to rally around the show, to recruit new viewers with the same grass-roots energy, intensity and volume you have displayed in recent weeks.

At this time, I cannot tell you the specific date or time period that "Jericho" will return to our schedule. However, in the interim, we are working on several initiatives to help introduce the show to new audiences. This includes re-broadcasting "Jericho" on CBS this summer, streaming episodes and clips from these episodes across the CBS Audience Network (online), releasing the first season DVD on September 25 and continuing the story of Jericho in the digital world until the new episodes return. We will let you know specifics when we have them so you can pass them on.

On behalf of everyone at CBS, thank you for expressing your support of "Jericho" in such an extraordinary manner. Your protest was creative, sustained and very thoughtful and respectful in tone. You made a difference.

Sincerely,

Nina Tassler
President, CBS Entertainment

P.S. Please stop sending us nuts :)"

I love the last line of the official message.... hahaha. Good work everyone, now just get everyone you know to watch the show when it comes back and we might get it renewed even further than this. Show them ratings and they wouldn't dare cancel it again.

Jericho fans send more than $40,000 worth of peanuts to CBS...

It looks as though the campaign to save Jericho by sending peanuts to CBS that was started here and on other sites has grown into a monster. A week after we started our campaign by saying "NUTS to you CBS" it was picked up by NutsOnline.com, they have really ran with the idea of Saving Jericho.

Get Planters to Support NUTS Campaign and other ways to get active in saving Jericho

Target Planters

CBS cares mainly about the money they get from advertisers. I think that this Send Nuts to CBS campaign is genius. If we could get a major advertiser like Planters to support us, we would have a lot more clout. Perhaps if somehow we could get them to sponsor a program in which they would send a small bag (like you get on a plane) for simply logging into their site and answering a small questionnaire. Another thing is if enough people write them, maybe they could have a "Save Jericho" commemorative jar of peanuts made.

NUTS campaign to Save Jericho...

UPDATE:

The fight to save Jericho is not over!

If you want more Jericho please write to: Ms. Nancy Tellem, President, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group, 4024 Radford Avenue, Studio City, CA 91604-2190.

Ask her to continue to produce Jericho and sell it to another network. These letters need to go out now, if we wish to save Jericho.

For more information go to: http://www.jericho-kansas.com/Community/SaveJerichoCampaign/tabid/195/Default.aspx

Archive

I have been reading in various places and it was proposed in comments as well on another post that we need to be sending peanuts to the CBS execs to protest the cancellation of Jericho. For those that watched the season finale of Jericho you will know the whole story behind NUTS and it being their way of saying go to hell.

I was just over on Amazon and it looks like they have the 61" LED DLP television for about $850 off the list price. This makes the price $2,350. That price alone is tempting me to buy a new DLP set. Currently I have a 62" DLP and I couldn't be happier with the set. The only thing I don't like is having to buy bulbs. With this set that problem is solved. Also solved would be the spinning noise that you can hear coming from the color wheel because this set doesn't have that color wheel anymore.

Yet another end to a promising sci-fi show. I really did think the show was getting much better towards the end of this season, but according to TV Guide the show is at its end:

http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog /Ausiello-Report/Just-Jericho-Canceled/800015104?rssDate=12345678

Justice League of America lands on the Smallville show...

I just got done watching probably one of the best episodes of Smallville I have ever seen. The Main Members of the Justice League that were in the Episode of Smallville named Justice are:

Alan Ritchson-Auqaman-(A.C),
Kyle Gallner-The Flash-(Bart Allen),
Tom Welling-Young Superman-(Clark Kent),
Justin Hartley-Green Arrow-(Oliver Qween),
Lee Thompson Young-Cyborg-(Victor Stone)

All I can say is where are the rest of them: Batman & Wonder Woman & Green Lantern & Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl? Hopefully they will continue this storyline and have a more awesome series than they already do. I had to keep the episode on my DVR to watch again later.

It was a great episode with the JLA being mentioned at the end of the episode by Green Arrow saying that the name of their group had to have "Justice" in the name. My only disappointment right now is that Clark didn't join up saying that he had some things he had to take care of first. What things he was referring to I am not certain, but I hope they hurry up and put the JLA together in the series.

All I can say is WOW, this is awesome.
