				<title>Music For Your Work Week... My Chemical Romance</title>
				<link>http://thewarp.org/blog/index.cfm/2007/3/13/Music-For-Your-Work-Week</link>
				<description>

				My Chemical Romance is the band that I have selected for this round of Music for Your Work week. This is a band that released their debut album in 2002 on an New York indie label. Their most recent album, &quot;The Black Parade&quot;, is a unique experience that can only be compared to Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, and Queen. The album is a varying mix of punk, ballads, and some harder classic rock styles.

				<title>EMI prices non-DRM music out of reach...</title>
				<link>http://thewarp.org/blog/index.cfm/2007/2/26/EMI-prices-nonDRM-music-out-of-reach</link>
				<description>

				It was widely believed that EMI was on the verge of selling a non-DRM license to sell their music online. They were willing to do it, but for a price that neither Apple or Microsoft were willing to pay. I think that this move was to discourage online retailers from offering non-DRM&apos;d stuff.

Why should they offer non-DRM&apos;d MP3 files for sale? Well for one, I might actually start buying them. Like a lot of other users that have MP3 players that do not accept DRM files, I have never purchased music for my player. I rely completely on ripping music from cds and I back in the day I used to use file sharing. I don&apos;t do the latter at all anymore because of the RIAA and their suits.

I believe if that they removed the DRM from their files and sold MP3 files capable of playing on all players that their sales would go through the roof.

				<description>

				I am going to take a page from my friend Brian over at Remote Synthesis and recommend an album/song for everyone to try out. The music I have selected may not be exactly mainstream, but I think if you listen to it you might just like it.
